How was the company founded?
With 20 years plus of experience in the manufacture of cylinders for motorcycles and mopeds, in 1986 we decided to create AIRSAL and transfer our operations to an industrial site in the city of Martorell, located about 30 km from Barcelona.
Where are we currently located?
In July 1999 we took another step, moving to a new facility we had recently constructed in Centelles, about 60 km from Barcelona. Our new facilities have a total floorspace of 3,500 sq m, set on a plot of land with 11,000 sq m.
What do we manufacture?
Our firm specialises in the manufacture of cylinders for mopeds and scooters as well as pistons and cylinder heads for these cylinders and has a total manufacturing output of 14,000 units per month. Our manufacturing system uses only aluminium and an interior coating known as Scanimet® (nickel-silicon carbide), a cutting-edge technology.
How is AIRSAL run internally?
All products are manufactured in-house and handled by the following departments:
